A new way to sheer.....
I'm a lifetime cattleman, but due to the price of corn was forced to sell out. my old friend however raises llamas, and two years ago i went to help him shear, he had hired a crew and i was mortified as i watched these beautiful animals being laid down and lashed to the bumper of a car!!! I've finally decided that i've got a better way to shear, this spring i'll be shearing my friends llamas and soon we'll get a website and a price list, we're going into business friends! so how will we be different? WE WILL NOT, lay down, tie down, or in any way upset your animals, the price will be competetive, but it will take longer, all animals will be sheared standing up. and extra time will be taken to allow the animal to realize that they can relax because they will not be hurt. i spent many years clipping show cattle, and we never had an upset animal, being as llamas are more intelligent than cattle, i'm convinced this will work. i live in huntington indiana, and would love to talk and work with anybody who is unhappy with the way their llamas are treated during the shearing process, just remember this is a brand new business, so bare with me. the bottom line is, i can shear your animals in a manner that will keep them calm, and eventually, they won't bat an eye when its time to be clipped. its so simple, just treat the animal right, even if it takes more time.... please call, 260-519-1838, thank you jonathan.
